A “well-known” doctor and former clinic owner has been suspended by the General Medical Council for 18 months.
Dr Rajveer Singh Thethi, 36, is an aesthetics practitioner and former owner and director of Yorkshire Skin Centre in Leeds.
A spokesperson for the General Medical Council (GMC) said: “Dr Rajveer Singh Thethi is currently subject to an interim suspension pending the conclusion of a GMC investigation.
“The interim suspension was imposed by a medical tribunal on 16 April 2026.”
According to Companies House, Dr Thethi resigned as a director of the company on 28 November 2025.
The Yorkshire Skin Centre’s current director, Sharan Thethi, has confirmed that Dr Rajveer Thethi is no longer associated with the practice.
The GMC can impose interim suspensions during fitness-to-practise investigations if it determines that restrictions are necessary.
The case has also been referred to the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS).
Interim orders tribunals are responsible for deciding whether a doctor’s practice should be restricted while an investigation is ongoing. These hearings are typically held in private, although doctors can request that they be conducted in public.
The CQC deregistered the Yorkshire Skin Centre in Yeedon following a voluntary application on January 28.
Aesthetics clinics do not always require CQC registration, but must register if they offer a number of regulated activities, such as surgical procedures.
A CQC spokesperson said: “The service made the decision to deregister voluntarily in January this year.”
The Aesthetics Magazine has contacted the clinic for further comment.
