Leading voices from the worlds of aesthetics, longevity, wellness and technology came together in London to celebrate the launch of Twiqk, a new aesthetics platform designed to improve transparency and trust within the sector.

Twiqk aims to help consumers discover trusted clinics, verified medical practitioners and authentic patient results, making it easier to make informed decisions when considering aesthetic treatments.

The platform launches at a time when the UK aesthetics sector continues to face growing concerns over the rise of unqualified aesthetic practitioners, with reports of patients experiencing serious complications following poorly performed procedures. Against this backdrop, the importance of high-quality education, qualified medical professionals and greater consumer awareness has never been more evident.

The launch event took place in the historic Court Room at Stationers’ Hall, St Paul’s in London, on Friday, June 26th, bringing together practitioners, industry leaders, media and consumers for an evening of discussion and collaboration.

Guests heard two expert panel discussions exploring The Future of Regenerative Medicine and Longevity, chaired by Dr Patrick Treacy and Anna Dobbie. The conversations examined how advances in regenerative treatments, preventative healthcare and wellness are shaping the future of aesthetic medicine.

Josh Sim, Founder and CEO of Twiqk, said: “Twiqk Preview exceeded our expectations. The response from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many describing the evening as refreshing, insightful and genuinely thought-provoking.

“We brought together practitioners, industry leaders, media and consumers in the same room, creating meaningful conversations that rarely happen within the aesthetics sector.

“The two panel discussions explored not only the future of aesthetic medicine but also the growing importance of longevity and wellness. Practitioners shared that they left feeling inspired by the calibre of discussion and the diversity of perspectives, while consumers appreciated the opportunity to engage directly with respected clinicians, ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of modern aesthetics beyond what they see on social media.

“Considering it took place on what was arguably the hottest day of the year, we were delighted by the turnout and the energy throughout the evening. One of the most encouraging pieces of feedback came before guests had even left the venue, with many already asking when the next event would take place. That level of enthusiasm reinforced our belief that the industry values opportunities for meaningful dialogue, collaboration and high-quality education, and it has strengthened our ambition to continue building on this momentum.”

Speaking about the inspiration behind the platform, Josh Sim explained that Twiqk was created to address a growing disconnect between consumers seeking trustworthy information and practitioners striving to demonstrate their expertise in an increasingly competitive digital marketplace.

“Despite the remarkable advances in aesthetic medicine, consumers often struggle to identify trustworthy information, while practitioners face increasing challenges in differentiating themselves,” he said.

“Patients are frequently exposed to fragmented information across websites, social media, influencers and online reviews. At the same time, highly qualified practitioners often find it difficult to communicate their expertise and professional standards in ways that prospective patients can easily understand.”

Drawing on experience across business advisory, clinic management, clinical technologies and academic research, Sim said the vision was to create more than another online directory.

“Rather than building another marketing platform, we wanted to develop an ecosystem that supports both consumers and practitioners through trusted information, greater transparency and meaningful collaboration.

“Ultimately, Twiqk is about strengthening confidence throughout the patient journey. By helping consumers make informed decisions while giving reputable practitioners a credible platform to showcase their expertise, we hope to contribute to a more transparent, better-informed and professionally connected aesthetics industry.”

Twiqk has been designed to become a trusted first point of reference for people researching aesthetic treatments, regenerative medicine, longevity and wellness.

The platform will provide medically informed educational content, carefully curated practitioner profiles and clear information on treatment technologies to help simplify what can often be a confusing decision-making process.

Alongside the platform, Twiqk is also expanding its editorial offering through Twiqk Talk and will continue bringing together practitioners, researchers, technology companies and consumers through Twiqk Connect, creating opportunities to share knowledge and encourage collaboration across the sector.

Looking ahead, Sim says the long-term ambition is clear.

“Our vision is to become one of the leading independent platforms supporting informed choices in aesthetic medicine, connecting trusted information with trusted professionals while helping shape a more transparent, collaborative and patient-centred future for the industry.”
