Genosys Announces Launch of New Cerabarrier Biome Gel Cleanser

Korean skincare brand Genosys has announced the launch of its latest product, the Cerabarrier Biome Gel Cleanser, arriving in Ireland this July as part of the brand’s continued focus on skin barrier health and microbiome science.

Positioned as a next-generation gel-to-foam cleanser, the new formula is designed to go beyond traditional cleansing by combining makeup and impurity removal with hydration support and barrier reinforcement. The company says the product reflects a shift in skincare expectations, where cleansing is increasingly required to protect—not compromise—the skin’s natural ecosystem.

Unlike conventional cleansers that can leave skin feeling stripped, the Cerabarrier Biome Gel Cleanser has been developed to maintain moisture levels while cleansing away sebum, dirt and base makeup. Genosys describes it as a “barrier-first” formulation intended to support skin comfort immediately after rinsing.

At the core of the product is a four-part active complex designed to target hydration, resilience and microbiome balance. The Pink Ceramide Complex is formulated to reinforce the skin’s lipid barrier while delivering antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. Alongside this, a pro- and prebiotic system aims to support a balanced skin microbiome by encouraging beneficial bacteria and helping maintain skin harmony.

The formulation also includes Fructan, a humectant ingredient intended to help retain moisture after cleansing, and Anastatica hierochuntica, also known as the Resurrection Plant, a botanical extract recognised for its antioxidant and soothing properties.

Genosys says the cleanser is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and reactive skin, and is designed to deliver hydration benefits even after rinsing—an area of increasing focus in the professional skincare market.

The Cerabarrier Biome Gel Cleanser will be available from July through authorised professional skincare channels and distributors.

With this launch, Genosys continues its move toward microbiome-aware skincare formulations, reflecting wider industry trends prioritising barrier function, gentle actives, and post-cleanse skin health.
