BAMAN Appoints New Regional Leads for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland

Two experienced Northern Irish aesthetic nurses have been appointed as new regional leads for the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN) across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Emma Anderson and Gary Seaton will take on the leadership roles following the departure of Emma Heaney, Tanya Khan and Lisa Waring, who have stepped down after five years of service supporting the association’s regional division.

The appointments mark a new chapter for BAMAN on the island, with both Anderson and Seaton bringing extensive clinical experience and a shared commitment to advancing standards, professional development and patient safety within medical aesthetics.

Anderson, owner of The Honest Injector in County Down, specialises in full-face refinements and is looking forward to building on the foundations established by her predecessors.

“I am truly honoured and delighted to have been appointed Region Lead of BAMAN for Northern Ireland,” she said. “It’s a privilege to take on this role and to be part of such a vibrant and supportive network within our industry.”

She paid tribute to the outgoing regional leads for their contribution to the association, adding that she is eager to continue developing the region and expanding member engagement.

“I bring a strong creative approach, particularly in social media and events, and I’m looking forward to putting forward fresh ideas that help to increase engagement, create new opportunities, and raise the profile of BAMAN across Northern Ireland,” Anderson explained.

A key priority for Anderson will be ensuring that both new and existing members feel supported and represented within the organisation.

She added: “I want to ensure everyone feels welcome, included, and confident that their voice is heard and valued within the network.”

Meanwhile, Seaton, a Nurse Consultant and Independent Nurse Prescriber with specialist interests in sexual health, aesthetic medicine and public health, will also serve as a regional lead. As owner of The Windsor Clinic, he brings more than two decades of nursing experience to the role.

“I am delighted and honoured to share that I have accepted the role of BAMAN Regional Leader for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland,” said Seaton.

“I’ve been working as a nurse for over 22 years and I have dedicated my career to delivering safe, high-quality patient care. Working within medical aesthetics has given me a deep understanding of both the opportunities and challenges that aesthetic nurses face every day.”

Seaton said he is passionate about promoting medical aesthetics as a recognised nursing speciality and supporting fellow practitioners to succeed in an increasingly evolving sector.

“As Regional Leader, I look forward to advocating for aesthetic nurses, encouraging collaboration, and helping to strengthen our professional community across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland,” he said.

Highlighting patient safety as a central focus of his tenure, Seaton added that he is committed to supporting evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development and the delivery of exceptional standards of care.

“I would like to thank BAMAN for this opportunity and for the important work they do in advancing standards within our profession,” he said. “I am excited to work alongside my colleagues across the region to contribute to the continued growth and recognition of the specialism of aesthetic nursing.”

The appointments reinforce BAMAN’s ongoing commitment to supporting aesthetic nurses across the UK and Ireland, while promoting professional excellence, collaboration and safe patient care throughout the sector.
