Amanda Cameron
- Consultant and ColumnistAs one of the first aesthetic nurses and trainers to witness – and shape – the growth of the industry, Amanda Cameron is widely regarded as a pioneer in medical aesthetics.
Amanda has spent more than 35 years working across the UK and European medical aesthetics sector. She began her career in nursing, transitioning into aesthetics during its infancy, where she became one of the UK’s first and leading nurse injector trainers in dermal fillers. After studying for her MBA, she expanded her expertise into sales, marketing and senior management.
Amanda worked with Collagen Corporation to launch dermal fillers, later becoming European Vice President before the company was acquired by Inamed (now Allergan Aesthetics). She played a pivotal role in bringing Sculptra to the European market and her influence has been felt across the specialty through senior leadership roles and by supporting the European expansion of emerging aesthetics companies.
Following her clinical and training career, Amanda became Consultant Editor of The Aesthetics Journal and contributed to developing the clinical programme for the ACE conference as well as initiating the aesthetic awards. She co-founded 5 Squirrels Ltd in 2014 and remained with the company until 2021.
Amanda now joins The Aesthetics Magazine as a consultant and columnist, where she will help guide the editorial journey of the publication as the aesthetics industry moves into a new age.

Professor Nicola Ralph
- Columnist and Advisory Board MemberProfessor Nicola Ralph is a Consultant Dermatologist on the Specialist Register for Dermatology in Ireland and an honours graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She began her dermatology training at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where she developed a specialist interest in photodermatology. This led to her current MD research as Principal Investigator in a major European multicentre study on photopatch testing, ongoing since 2015. She was appointed Consultant Dermatologist at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in 2014 and also practices at the Mater Private Hospital and Blackrock Clinic. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at University College Dublin.


Mr Jack Woods
- Columnist and Advisory Board MemberMr. Woods is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at St Vincent’s University Hospital, appointed in 2024. He holds MA (Oxon), MB, MCh, MSc, FEBHS, and FRCS (Plast), and is a graduate of both Oxford University and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, where he achieved First Class Honours in Medicine. He completed higher surgical training in Ireland, earning Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and the European Board of Hand Surgery, and received the JJ Fitzsimons Gold Medal in Surgery.
He has undertaken prestigious international fellowships in microsurgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, skin cancer and head and neck surgery at Oxford University Hospitals, and aesthetic surgery at the Cadogan Clinic in London. His clinical expertise spans microsurgery, skin cancer, aesthetic, breast, hand, and head and neck surgery.
Mr. Woods is widely published, with over 25 peer-reviewed papers and multiple textbook contributions, and has secured competitive research and innovation funding. He is actively involved in surgical education, service development, and clinical research, with leadership roles in national and institutional initiatives. He is a member of leading international surgical associations and is committed to advancing evidence-based, patient-centred care across reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery.
